Terms and Conditions of Sale:

The following general terms and conditions of sale govern the contract for the purchase of products offered to customers through the website http://www.steamvoyage.com by “SteamVoyage,” owned by Castorani Gabriele, based at Via Fossacesia n°27, 00156 Rome, Italy.

Sales Procedure:

Availability:

The website displays the real-time availability of each product. If a product is not available at the time of the order, the customer can still purchase it and contact "SteamVoyage" to inquire about its restocking time. Customers may reach out via the following methods:

In the event of errors in product availability, delays, or impossibility of restocking, "SteamVoyage" will promptly notify the customer via email or telephone to resolve the issue suitably.

Orders and Prices:

The customer can view the products and their features, which are provided directly by the manufacturers or by third-party specialists responsible for creating product data sheets. Product images are illustrative and for reference purposes only. "SteamVoyage" sells many products that are partially or entirely handcrafted, making each item unique and potentially different from others.

As a result, slight variations in shape, color, and size from the website images and product sheets may occur, as well as minor imperfections, indicative of manual craftsmanship. In cases of significant differences noted by “SteamVoyage” (at its sole discretion) between the ordered product and the existing one, a photograph may be sent to the customer prior to shipping to display the product's characteristics.

Prices displayed on the website are in euros and do not include shipping costs or additional requested services. “SteamVoyage” reserves the right to modify prices of products and services on the website at any time, at its sole discretion, without prior notice. The website prices are exclusively for online purchases and are not applicable to in-store purchases, as the online store and the physical store are distinct entities.

Payment:

Payments can be made via PayPal or, upon the customer’s request, by bank transfer.

  • PayPal:
    PayPal is a secure and efficient credit card payment system. It allows transactions without requiring registration. For more details, visit http://www.paypal.it. At no stage of the transaction does “SteamVoyage” gain access to the buyer's credit card information, as it is securely transmitted directly to the payment processor. Therefore, "SteamVoyage" is not liable for any fraudulent or unlawful use of payment methods by third parties.

  • Bank Transfer:
    Upon request during the purchase process, "SteamVoyage" will provide the necessary details to complete the transaction. Orders will be processed upon receipt of the actual payment, which may take 3–7 business days. The customer must send proof of payment to scrivici@steamvoyage.com.

Order Delivery:

"SteamVoyage" ships throughout Italy using various express couriers to provide better service at competitive rates. Once payment is verified, "SteamVoyage" will prepare the order and notify the customer of the shipment via email or phone as soon as the goods are handed to the courier.

Any duties or taxes imposed by foreign countries are the sole responsibility of the customer.

"SteamVoyage" is not responsible for errors or non-delivery due to inaccuracies or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer. Additionally, it is not liable for delays in pickup, transportation, or delivery caused by any reason beyond its control. Nor is it responsible for loss, incorrect delivery, or nondelivery resulting from force majeure, unforeseen events, or other causes reasonably beyond "SteamVoyage's" control.

Under no circumstances can “SteamVoyage” be held liable for any direct or indirect damages or losses incurred by the customer, regardless of whether “SteamVoyage” was aware of the potential for such damages. Examples include, but are not limited to, loss of profit, goodwill, business opportunities, reputation damage, or other indirect damages. Customers are advised to arrange their own insurance coverage for damages arising from shipping. In the absence of insurance, the customer assumes full responsibility for any such damages.

In accordance with Articles 1686 and 1690 of the Italian Civil Code, if transportation cannot be carried out, "SteamVoyage" will notify the customer to seek an appropriate solution. If timely instructions are not provided, "SteamVoyage" will store the items for 14 days but assumes no liability for their preservation.

Rights and Duties of the Customer:

The Customer is solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of the information and data provided to “SteamVoyage,” and it is prohibited to enter false and/or fictitious information during the registration and order process. The Customer also undertakes to communicate any changes to this information.

At the time of purchase confirmation, the Customer declares that they have read, understood, and accepted the General Terms of Sale and authorize “SteamVoyage” to process the personal data provided at the time of purchase.

Upon delivery of their order, the Customer must check:

  • whether the number of packages (boxes/parcels) indicated on the waybill matches the delivered quantity.
  • that the packages (boxes/parcels) are intact, undamaged, unopened, unaltered, and not tampered with at the time of delivery. If any of these anomalies are detected, they must be immediately reported to the carrier and noted on the waybill with their signature, under penalty of losing the right to future insurance coverage and/or possible refunds.

Any complaints should be made via the following email address: scrivici@steamvoyage.com and will be processed within a maximum of thirty days from receipt.

Right of Withdrawal:

The right of withdrawal, as provided by law, applies only if the Customer is considered a “consumer,” meaning a natural person acting for purposes outside of their entrepreneurial, commercial, craft, or professional activities.

The Customer can exercise the right of withdrawal without penalty and without specifying the reason, within thirty days of receiving the purchased goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must send a written notification via email to the following address: scrivici@steamvoyage.com, indicating the order reference number and specifying which products they wish to withdraw from.

Even when exercising the right of withdrawal, the Customer will bear the full cost of returning the purchased products, whether or not the product has already been delivered or, as a result of the shipment already made, will be delivered to the Customer after the withdrawal is exercised.

The deadline for returning the product is thirty days from the withdrawal notification. The Customer must return the product intact, undamaged, unaltered, in its original box, complete with any manuals and/or instruction booklets, and include the order reference number inside the box. “SteamVoyage” will not accept returns that are damaged or with missing packaging or items as specified above, and in such cases, no refund will be made, and the received goods will be available to the Customer for a maximum of 10 days.

For Customers who are entitled to exercise the right of withdrawal, “SteamVoyage” will refund the amount paid by the Customer, excluding the direct cost of returning the product, which remains the Customer’s responsibility. The Customer will be responsible for any decrease in the product's value resulting from improper use.
